Greetings Fellow Dreamer

Thank you for your interest in my weird poster.

I made it because I want to start a “studio” (????) with the likeminded creatives who may happen to exist in my area.

Not like a studio that does freelance illustration or animation or anything… just a studio. Kind of like a band, but for art-people. Several creatives sitting at a round table, sharing their ideas and building on them together. We could publish a magazine, start a mail club, make an indie animated series, etc etc etc. Sure, I could do any of these things by myself, but that wouldn’t be as much fun I don’t think.

Can I pay you? Do I have any concrete plans about how to make our projects happen or monetize them? Do I have any industry experience? Any experience at all? Um, no, actually.

But if you…

Feel uninspired unless you’re making something for or with someone else… Have nebulous plans for a creative career that you’ll hopefully just stumble into someday… Have a lot of free time and fewer friends than you’d reasonably like… and read to the end of this paragraph…

Feel free to consider joining my alliance.

Bonus context: a little about me.

trans, autistic, asexual, and demiromantic pride flags

My name is Asa (Paper Flaken). I’m 22. I have an illustration degree from MCC.

I like to make art that makes people chuckle warmly. I make paintings of people, animals, and anything with interesting lighting. Character design is my favorite thing. I take inspiration from the perils of everyday life, my cats, the metaphysical, and especially dreams.

I’m a jack of all trades and dabble (flounder) in 3d modeling and HTML. The most important thing about making art for me is connecting with others. I should have a social media profile but it feels too much like shouting into a void. Other special interests include alternative medicine and languages of any variety. Mi tawa.
